Question 1
A.)n6=2+4+6+8+10+12=42

B.)the pattern is that you add the previous n, or multiply by the next n... 6x7 = 42 n6=42

C.)it does make sense because you are not changing the numbers that are added

Question 2
A.)n1=1
n2=1+3=4
n3=1+3+5=9
n4=1+3+5+7=16

B.)the pattern is the adding numbers equal n^2

C.)this is true because the odd integers in the series add to n^2 everytime

  1. Question 1:
    Part A: What about if n is not 6? I want a formula for a GENERIC n.
    Part B: This is more or less correct, but you should still reevaluate what you are saying after revising part A.
    Part C: You are changing them though...

    Question 2:
    Part A: First 8 terms please, not 4.
    Part B: This one is fine.
    Part C: I didn't ask you to restate what you said in part B, I asked you to justify it. Are you 100% certain that for n=8973204 that the sum will be 8973204^2? If so, how?

    This NEEDS to be redone.
